In short: The appointment at the Honduras consulate in Madrid is free and is booked only on the official site, citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn. The Consulate never charges for booking: anyone asking for money for the appointment is an intermediary. Every procedure needs an appointment.
In person or by representative? This page covers only booking, which is done online. Whether the later procedure is in person depends on it: passport and powers of attorney are personal.
Have ready
- Your 13-digit Honduran ID number (foreigners: passport number).
- Email and phone number.
- City, postcode and address.
- The procedure you want.
Steps:
- Copy this address and paste it into your browser bar, without clicking on it: https://citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn/citaconsular/pages/layout/CitaConsular.php
- Select your nationality: "Hondureño" or "Extranjero".
- Enter your ID number (Honduran: 13 digits, no hyphens or spaces, not the passport number; foreigner: passport number). It appears on the birth certificate, DNI, cédula, driving licence or passport.
- Under "Ubicación" choose the region EUROPA, then the consulate MADRID.
- Choose the service type, for example passport renewal.
- Fill in city and postcode, email, phone and address.
- Pick a date on the calendar: blue is busy, white is available, red is a holiday. The system does not let you choose the time; if the time is a problem, write to [email protected].
- Confirm the appointment. No confirmation email arrives: take a screenshot or print the confirmation.
- Prepare the documents for the procedure before going.
For a minor, use the minor's ID number (at the top of the birth certificate or in the passport): the appointment uses the number of the person who will do the procedure.
