In short: grants for autónomos in Andalusia 2026 come in two layers. The stable one: the flat rate, the lump-sum unemployment benefit and microloans (valid across Spain) and the advice network of Andalucía Emprende. The one that changes: the Junta de Andalucía's two programmes for autónomos, the «cuota cero» and the start-up aid, which depend on each call (the last calls of both lines closed on 30 September 2026), and the calls of the provincial councils and town halls, shown in the table below. Amount, requirements and exact deadline are those of each official call.

What is valid across Spain

  • Flat rate (tarifa plana): a reduced contribution of €88.64 a month in 2026, for 12 months, for people who were not registered as autónomos in the previous 2 years. It is requested in the registration itself. The Junta's aids (below) start from it.
  • Lump-sum unemployment benefit (pago único): if you receive contributory unemployment benefit, you can ask the SEPE for what is left in one payment to invest in the business. It is requested before registering.
  • MicroBank microloan: a loan of up to €30,000 to start. It is debt you repay, not a grant.

Junta de Andalucía aid for autónomos

The Department of Employment, Business and Self-Employment gathers its programmes on the self-employment support page. The two lines below share rules: the Order of 29 June 2023, amended by the Order of 16 July 2025. The rules stay in place, but the aid is requested in whichever call is open, and each call sets its own deadline and budget. Requests are handled in order of arrival until the budget runs out.

Line 1, «cuota cero» (official page): a grant that funds the flat-rate contributions.

  • How much: the amount is that of the contributions for the period (art. 7.1 of the rules), not a fixed figure.
  • Period covered: 12 months of reduced contribution; 24 if you have a disability of 33% or more, or are a victim of gender violence or terrorism; and months 13 to 24 if your annual net income is below the minimum wage. It also covers the contribution discount (bonificación) for self-employed women who return to work after a birth, adoption or fostering.
  • Conditions: being registered in the RETA when you apply, carrying out the activity in Andalusia and having had the reduced contribution for the whole period.
  • Deadline: the 2024-2026 call accepted applications from 2 January 2024 to 30 September 2026. In October 2026 no new call is published. If you are starting now, check the official page to see whether the Junta has called it again.
  • Watch the timing: in that call you applied at the end, within 2 months after the period ended, online and without attaching documents. Anyone who deregistered before completing the period received nothing from the aid.
  • Afterwards: it counts as minimis aid (there is a cap on accumulated public aid) and is declared in your income tax return as income from the activity. More in the Junta FAQ.

Line 2, start-up aid (official page): a fixed payment for people on the flat rate.

  • How much: between €2,000 and €5,500 depending on the group (by age and sex). Each call sets the figure for each group, and the amount rises if the activity is in a municipality with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.
  • Conditions: being registered in the RETA when you apply, receiving the flat rate, working in Andalusia and presenting a viability plan with a positive result in every year. You must stay registered for 12 months from the application.
  • Deadline: the 2025-2026 call (Resolution of 5 August 2025) accepted applications from 12 August 2025 to 30 September 2026, and the official page marks the deadline as closed. In October 2026 no new call is published. Check the official page to see whether the Junta has called it again.
  • Watch the timing: in that call each person had 2 months from their RETA registration to apply (with a transitional window for people already registered when it was published). If a new one comes out, check what deadline it gives to people already registered.
  • Compatibility: it can be combined with line 1 (art. 9.3 of the rules).

Other lines. The same department page lists more programmes for autónomos: creation and consolidation of self-employed businesses, digital modernisation and work-life balance (hiring someone to replace the self-employed person during pregnancy or maternity). Each has its own call: check its page for an open deadline.

Advice and paperwork, all year

  • Andalucía Emprende: a public foundation of the Junta. Its CADEs (Centros Andaluces de Emprendimiento, the Andalusian entrepreneurship centres) study your idea, prepare the viability plan with you, advise on the legal form and the paperwork, and help find financing, including lines from banks such as ICO, MicroBank and Unicaja. It offers free business accommodation: 6 months of pre-incubation or 2 to 3 years of incubation. Find yours in the CADE finder. Ask at the centre whether any service has a cost.
  • Entrepreneur Support Points (PAE): a window that handles setting up the business or registering as an autónomo online through the CIRCE system; you can also do it yourself on the PAE Virtual with a digital certificate or Cl@ve. The network's website mentions more than 4,000 points.
  • Chambers of Commerce: advice and help with the paperwork; they recommend going to the PAE-One-Stop Business Window of your Chamber.
  • Registration, step by step: the card on becoming an autónomo as a foreigner follows the national Import@ss guide (it uses the Valencian Community as its example for grants). Taxes are in the card on taxes for a foreign autónomo.

What to check, in this order

  • If you receive unemployment benefit: decide before registering whether you want the lump sum.
  • At registration: request the flat rate in the same procedure. The Junta aids start from it.
  • Note the day your 12-month period ends and check then whether there is a new cuota cero call before counting on it.
  • Once registered, check the Department website for an open call of line 2.

If you are a foreigner

  • Permit: if you are not from the EU, from age 16 you need prior authorisation to reside and work in a lucrative activity (art. 36.1 of Organic Law 4/2000). To work for yourself you must meet what Spaniards need to open that activity and show sufficient investment (art. 37.1).
  • Initial self-employment permit: under Royal Decree 1155/2024, it lasts 1 year, for one sector and the area of one autonomous community (art. 83); the requirements are in art. 84. Details in the card on residence and work as self-employed.
  • Other permits: residence for exceptional circumstances includes work as self-employed or as an employee (art. 131), except the socioformativo arraigo, which has its own rule (employee work, up to 30 hours a week).
  • Foreign autónomos: the Self-Employed Workers Statute Law applies to foreigners who meet the requirements of Organic Law 4/2000 (art. 1.4). That is why the flat rate, which the aids start from, works the same for them.
  • For the Junta aids: the conditions are those of any autónomo (registration, flat rate, activity in Andalusia). If you are not from the EU, the above adds: your permit must allow you to work for yourself so that you can register.
  • Temporary protection: the card on the flat rate sets out what the Ministry of Inclusion says. Line 2 requires staying registered for 12 months; compare that with how long your document is valid before applying.

And this week's calls? The table below shows the calls open now in Andalusia: from the State, the Junta, the provincial councils and the town halls. They come from the National Grants Database and are updated every day. Amount, who can apply and the exact deadline are only in each official call. Appearing in the table does not mean you meet its conditions.

Frequently asked questions

What grants are there for autónomos in Andalusia in 2026?

Those valid across Spain (flat rate, lump-sum unemployment benefit, microloans) and two programmes from the Junta de Andalucía: the «cuota cero», which funds the flat-rate contributions, and the start-up aid. They are requested in a call with its own deadline and budget. The last calls of both lines closed on 30 September 2026 and in October 2026 no new one is published. Check the Employment department website for a new one.

What is the «cuota cero» for autónomos in Andalusia and when do you apply?

It is a Junta grant that funds the flat-rate contributions: 12 months, or 24 if you have a disability of 33% or more or are a victim of gender violence or terrorism. The last call closed on 30 September 2026 and in October 2026 no new one is published. In that call you applied within 2 months after the period ended. If you are starting now, check on the official website whether the Junta has called it again.

Where can I get help to start a business in Andalusia?

At the CADEs of Andalucía Emprende (a public foundation of the Junta, with a centre finder), at an Entrepreneur Support Point (PAE) and at the Chamber of Commerce of your province. They help with the idea, the viability plan and the registration paperwork; ask each one which services have a cost.

Can foreigners request the autónomo grants in Andalusia?

The conditions of the cuota cero and the start-up aid are the same for any autónomo: registration in the RETA, the flat rate and activity in Andalusia. If you are not from the EU, to register your permit must allow you to work for yourself (arts. 36 and 37 of Organic Law 4/2000). When a new call is published, read its rules in case it adds something.
