The Colombian Consulate in Seville published on 29 September 2026 the agenda of activities for October for Colombians in Málaga, Fuengirola and Almería: psychosocial support, cumbia and dance workshops, and training to look for work. There is one Google form for Málaga and another for Almería, but they may not cover every workshop: the Almería one has only the dance workshops, not the job courses, and if you do not find the Fuengirola workshops in the Málaga one, confirm your registration with the association.

What happened
On 29 September 2026 the consulate published two notices, one per project, each with a poster. The dates and hours come from the posters: the text of the notices only gives the month and, for Almería, the address and 17:00.
Málaga and Fuengirola (consulate notice):
- 7 October, from 17:00 to 19:45: workshop by Neurona Migrante at the Antigua Tabacalera in Málaga (calle Concejal Muñoz Cerván, module 3, ground floor). The poster calls it "El arte de poner límites" (assertiveness) and the text of the notice speaks of assertiveness; the form calls it "Comprendiendo el duelo migratorio" (understanding migration grief). Topic: confirm it with the association.
- 21 October, same hours and place: "Superando el síndrome del impostor" (overcoming impostor syndrome), also with Neurona Migrante.
- 10 October, from 17:00: workshop "Cumbia joven" with Herencia Colombiana, at calle Estepona 25 in Fuengirola.
- 24 October, from 17:00 and at the same place: workshop "Tradición en movimiento", with Herencia Colombiana.
Almería (consulate notice), at calle Sergio Leone 5 (Almería city), from 17:00:
- 7 October: "Rutas de inserción laboral, en situación de exclusión social" (job-placement routes for people in social exclusion), with Almería para Todos.
- 14 October: "Currículum y entrevista de trabajo" (CV and job interview), with Almería para Todos.
- 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October: five dance and wellbeing workshops for older adults with the Asociación Cultural Janguxa Danza, among them "Caminando al ritmo de la cumbia" and "Memorias en movimiento".
How it works now
In Málaga, in September 2026 the project had two psychosocial workshops by Neurona Migrante at the Innosocial centre in Málaga (7 and 21 September) and two cumbia workshops by Herencia Colombiana in Fuengirola (19 and 26 September). According to the consulate's notice of 2 September, they were free for the Colombian community of Málaga and surroundings, funded by the Colombia Nos Une area of the Colombian foreign ministry and by the participating associations.
In Almería, the project already existed in September. The consulate presented it on 3 September 2026 in the notice Proyecto Integral para la colombianidad de Almería capital y el Levante almeriense: according to the notice, free workshops would be offered in September, one for entrepreneurs and "Memorias en movimiento" for older adults. They are funded by Colombia Nos Une, with co-funding from Almería para Todos and Janguxa Danza, and you had to reserve a place with an online form. That notice gives no dates or hours.
What changes
- Málaga: the psychosocial workshops move from the Innosocial centre to the Antigua Tabacalera and change topic: the one on 21 October is about impostor syndrome and the one on the 7th about assertiveness according to the poster (the form gives it another title). The Herencia Colombiana workshops stay in Fuengirola, at calle Estepona 25, with new dates (10 and 24 October).
- Almería: the project continues, now with an October agenda: two job courses by Almería para Todos (7 and 14 October) and five dance workshops for older adults (3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October).
- Cost: the September notices for Málaga and Almería said the activities were free; the October ones do not repeat it.
- Sign-up: the October form for Málaga has two pages; the first has the Neurona Migrante workshops (7 and 21 October) and the second could not be checked. The Almería one has a single page, with the five dance workshops, and does not include the Almería para Todos job courses. If you do not find the Herencia Colombiana workshops in Fuengirola (10 and 24 October) in the Málaga form, confirm your registration with the association; for the Almería para Todos job courses, use the contact in the consulate's notice.
What happens next
The first workshop is on 3 October in Almería and the last on 31 October. In Málaga and Fuengirola the workshops run from 7 to 24 October. The notices set no deadline for signing up and on 30 September both forms were accepting responses. The consulate published the Málaga agenda for September on 2 September, presented the Almería project on 3 September and published the October agenda for both on 29 September; there is no announced date for November.
What you can do
- Pick the workshops on the poster for your city. For the Neurona Migrante ones in Málaga (7 and 21 October) sign up on the first page of the form for Málaga; for the dance ones in Almería (3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October), with the one for Almería.
- For the Almería para Todos job courses (7 and 14 October), which are not in the Almería form, use the contact in the consulate's notice. For Herencia Colombiana in Fuengirola (10 and 24 October), look for it in the Málaga form (the second page could not be checked) and, if you do not find it, confirm your registration with the association.
- Before you go, ask the association whether there is a charge, what the topic of the 7 October workshop in Málaga is and whether someone of another nationality can sign up: the October notices do not say the first or the last.
