The vocational training grants 2026 that the Spanish state has just called total 46.7 million euros (46,700,000 euros), but training entities apply for them, not individuals. On 30 September the BOE published the call. The money funds courses for workers, both employed and unemployed, in sectors with high demand for staff. It is not individual aid and there is no form for you.

What changes for you today

Nothing directly. To sign up for an official course, the routes in our guide to courses and training for employability still apply: SEPE and regional courses. Courses from this call, if they appear, will reach people through the entities that receive the money. The extract does not say when or where.

What happened

On 25 September 2026 the Secretariat-General for Vocational Training, part of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, signed the call. BOE no. 241 published the extract on 30 September. An extract is the official summary of a call; the full text is in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS, call 932069), which the BOE points to.

It is a state-wide call, awarded by competitive procedure: applications are compared with each other and the best-scored ones are funded. It pays for training actions linked to the national catalogue of professional competence standards (the official catalogue of competences in the vocational training system), in high-demand sectors and with priority for people in situations of special vulnerability. Training entities and groupings of entities under article 12 of Order EFP/705/2022 (amended by Order EFP/1189/2023, which are the rules of the aid) can apply. The budget is 46.7 million euros. The application period is 10 calendar days from the day after publication: counting from 1 October, it ends around 10 October (our count; confirm the exact date in the BDNS).

The extract speaks of people in situations of special vulnerability but does not say which groups are included. It does not mention migrants or set nationality or residence requirements.

A sister call came out the same day (BOE-B-2026-31649, BDNS 932047), worth 35 million euros, focused on strategic trades and occupations. It has the same beneficiary entities, the same kind of target people and the same deadline.

How it works now

Anyone who wants publicly supported training today uses the employment training courses of the SEPE and the regions. According to our guide:

  • They are free for the student and there is an offer for unemployed and employed people.
  • They ask for ID (NIE/TIE) and, for many courses, registration as a jobseeker.
  • The offer depends on each region. Professional certificates count as regulated training.

What changes

Before, the public offer came from the catalogues of the SEPE and each region. Now the Ministry opens 46.7 million euros (and 35 in the sister call) so that training entities can offer more actions in the vocational training system. For students, what is known stops there: the extract lists no courses, places, locations or dates, sets no requirements for students and does not say whether they will be free or give a certificate. We also do not know whether migrants will get priority.

What happens next

  1. The entities have until around 10 October to submit their application.
  2. After that, the Ministry must assess the applications and decide. The extract gives no decision date.
  3. The entities that receive funds will organise the courses. Dates, places and how to enrol: not known yet.
  4. Until then there is nothing to sign up for as an individual. We will review this article when there is a decision or lists of courses.

What you can do

  • Do not look for an individual form for this call: there is none.
  • If you want to train now, see the current SEPE and regional offer in the guide to courses and training and, if the course asks for it, register as a jobseeker.
  • If you are thinking about socioformativo arraigo, check what counts as regulated training in arraigo-tipos. The extract does not say that the courses in this call count for arraigo, so do not take it for granted.
  • If you work for a training entity or an association that wants to apply, read the full call in the BDNS before the deadline ends.
