Prizes for entrepreneurs over 50: Generación SAVIA, a Fundación Endesa project, has opened the 8th edition of its +50 Emprende awards, with three prizes per category: €10,000, €5,000 and €1,500. They are for businesses led by people aged 50 or over. There is a general category and a green entrepreneurship one. Applications are online from 28 September 2026 to 17 January 2027.
What changes for you today
If you are 50 or older, live in Spain and your business idea started after 28 September 2024, you can apply until 17 January. If not, nothing changes for you. This is not start-up money you are sure to get: it is a contest, and the prizes go to the best-rated projects. What happened
Generación SAVIA opened the call on 28 September 2026. It is run by Fundación Endesa and Fundación Máshumano, and it is listed on Plataforma ONE, the public portal for entrepreneurs' grants and calls. According to that listing, the previous edition drew 630 senior entrepreneurs with 207 initiatives.
How it works now
This is the eighth edition, so it is not a new contest. To start a business today you have other routes: the flat-rate autónomo fee lowers the contribution for the first months. The prizes do not replace it: they are requested separately and awarded by competition.
What changes
- Prizes: in each category, €10,000 for first place, €5,000 for second and €1,500 for third. That makes six prizes. The contest website speaks of €33,000 in prizes.
- Extra support: the top two in each category get online business-model coaching, a tax and legal strategy session, a business-plan evaluation with access to an investor network and three sessions on artificial intelligence and data analysis.
- Who can apply: according to the ONE listing, you must be 50 or older on 28 September 2026, live in Spain or, for a company, have a registered office in Spain, and be registered as a senior user on the Generación SAVIA platform. In a company, people over 50 must own at least 50% of the capital.
- What kind of project: any sector, with a business idea started after 28 September 2024. The green category is for energy transition and circular economy projects.
- Foreigners: the listing does not ask for Spanish nationality, only residence in Spain. We could not open the PDF with the rules, so we do not know which identity document they accept or what other requirements apply. Check it in the rules before you apply.
What happens next
- Applications close on 17 January 2027.
- A jury assesses the projects. The contest website names its director and fourteen members. The scoring criteria are not on the listing or the website; they are in the rules, which we could not read.
- We have not found the date of the decision or of the award ceremony. When they publish it, we will update this news item.

- Record a video of under 3 minutes (the ONE listing says 2 minutes 59 seconds at most) saying your name, age, city, business idea and motivations.
